河川は、環境基本法第16条に基づき、人の健康の保護と生活環境を保全するうえで、維持されることが望ましい基準が定められています。村では、年2回、谷太郎川、小鮎川、金翅川の3河川（5カ所）を定点として、基本的な水質項目の検査を実施しています。調査の結果は下記のとおりです。
